First and foremost, I want to thank Sean for taking time to share these photos with me. Being a wedding planner, coordinator and/or officiant my efforts are usually in the background and as a hired professional it’s doesn’t feel right having my cell phone out taking photos on your wedding day.
This summer, I got to help a wonderful bride who lives in Colorado execute her simple and sweet elopement at a private location in the Olympic National Park. Did you know, with a simple Special Use permit you can utilize areas of our National Forests as your unofficial venue? There is a non refundable fee of $50. More information can be found at this link: https://www.nps.gov/olym/planyourvisit/permitsandreservations.htm
Family and friends made their way to Olympic National Forest from various parts of the United States to be be in solidarity with the couple showing abounding love and support through this journey.
I knew I was short, but this photo is now my motivation to purchase some heels to stand a little taller. #thepintsizedofficiant
There is something about a photo of two hands in the process of sealing their matrimonial commitment to one another that makes my heart skip a beat every time. There is a beauty in finding that one person who you know will keep your heart safe for the rest of your life.
Thank you again, Sean, for allowing me to feature these photos.
After finding out the groom was also a U.S. Army Veteran, it only felt right to incorporate 550 cord into the hand-fasting cord.
Some people include wedding packages that are referenced as “a wedding in a box,” here, if you have less than 20 guests, we have “a wedding in a Jeep.”
