Mobile Alteration Services
Our dress fittings are done in the privacy of your own home. Once measurements are done and your dress is appropriately pinned. Depending on the complexity of the alterations needed, I will either complete the alterations onsite or take the dress to my studio, complete the alterations and then hand deliver your dress to you. Travel fees are accessed based on travel time. Travel fees are based on my standard $45/hr fee. Travel fees are assessed based on the estimated time it takes from point A to point B.
Alterations can be costly.
Reason being, some alterations are incredibly complex and time consuming. Did you know, often times your dress may need to be partially or even fully deconstructed before the alterations can even take place.
Wedding gown bodices often have several layers to help give the garment structure and each layer deserves the same scrupulous attention to detail.
When you throw in intricate beadwork that must be carefully sewn back by hand, you’re looking at 5-10+ hours spent to make your wedding dress or tux fit you just right.
Did you know the average ballroom style skirt used 8-10 yards of fabric. That is 30 feet of fabric that needs adjusted. Our average cost for adjusting your dress hem will range between $100 and $250.
