What is an elopement?

This is such a loaded question.

When I hear the word elopement, my eyes light up and my heart starts to pitter patter.

Images of mountain views, beaches, and the lush green forests Washington State has to offer locations fill my mind with beauty and my soul with a sense of adventure.

Elopements are beautiful intimate moments where you see two people who love either other so much, that nothing else matters besides creating a beautiful moment so share vows and commit two souls to a life time of love, chaos, and togetherness.

Family and friends may feel that uniting under the guise of the taboo word elopement is selfish and inconsiderate, but not everyone feels the opinion of those outside of their relationship matters.

There are so many reasons to choose to elope.

The most important reason is…

Today, however, there is less taboo behind the term elope or elopement, and the definition has become subjective and now can be just as glamourous as a full blown wedding. You don’t have to hide your matrimonial moment (unless you want to) and is a great option for an intimate wedding
